Cattles, a provider of finance to the sub-prime market reported a 12.6% growth in pre-tax profits (to £115.1m) for the year to December 2005. The company reported pre-tax profits of £102.3m. Revenue growth of 4.5% and a reduction in the cost:income ratio to 30.1% (2004: 32.5%) was responsible for the improvement in earnings.
